Bettina Aust

Music critics are “sheerly overwhelmed by her richness of sound” (Crescendo Magazine). Bettina Aust thrills her audiences with lively, sensitive playing: not only as an enthusiastic chamber musician, but also as an outstanding clarinet soloist.
First Prizes at the German National Music Competition (2015) and at the International Music Competition in Markneukirchen (2014) paved the way for her successful career.
In 2021, she released her second CD featuring repertoire for clarinet and piano on the GENUIN Classics label. Bettina Aust is Principal Clarinet of the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and teaches at the Leopold Mozart Music Center of Augsburg University.
She received her musical education from Sabine Meyer (Lübeck), Johannes Peitz (Hannover), and Pascal Moraguès (Paris). In her work, she focuses particularly on intercultural music projects.
